Hi, I’m Sue Edwards, a CV Writer and Linkedin profile writer, with many years of experience.
I started my business in 1995 and since then I have helped 100s (lost count!) of happy candidates be successful in finding a new job. I’ve helped people from students to CEOs, from all walks of life.
I enjoy writing for business, and so:along with my other hat:
marketing and social media services, my two businesses were natural career paths to follow. Thankfully regular feedback and praise for my work have confirmed this.
My first full-time job was at The Caravan Club in East Grinstead, where I progressed from admin and reception, to Assistant Editor, then Deputy Editor of the then Sites Directory. Much of my work consisted of writing and editing.
In 1992 I left to start a family, and 3 years later I became a freelance VA (Virtual Assistant), working from home, alongside raising our family.
CV writing is very rewarding – (a) when I hear that CVs I’ve worked on have proved successful in securing jobs (b) it’s great to receive referrals (c) I’m very proud to receive glowing reviews for my work.
Many people tell me it’s much harder to write about yourself than someone else and it’s hard to ‘sell’ yourself on paper.
I’m very proud of my own job successes: since I left full-time work, I’ve had part-time jobs, both paid and voluntary.
For many years I’ve been a volunteer and Trustee at The Uckfield Volunteer Centre. Here I apply my office admin and marketing skills.
Duke Letting was another long-term role, where I applied my marketing skills to help raise their profile.
