Hi, I'm CV Writer, Sue Edwards.
I started writing CVs and Linkedin profiles in 1995 and since then I have helped 100s of happy clients be successful in finding a new job. I’ve helped candidates of all age groups and many industries.
I have always enjoyed writing for business, so CV writing seemed a natural path to follow.
My first full-time job was at The Caravan Club in East Grinstead, where after about 8 years in admin and reception work. I was promoted to Assistant Editor, then Deputy Editor a short time later. Much of my work consisted of writing and editing.
In 1992 I left to start a family, and 3 years later I became a freelance VA (Virtual Assistant) , working from home, specialising in CV writing.
The most rewarding part of CV writing – (1) when clients contact me to say they have been successful in finding a new job, thanks to their new CV (2) When I receive referrals from past clients. (3) When I receive glowing reviews for my work.
It’s always interesting to hear the different career histories. Many people say it’s much easier to write about someone else, than about your own career. I’t’s hard to ‘sell’ yourself on paper.
Needless to say, I’m very proud of my own job successes, one of which I was hired before the end of the interview!
